Is There Really A Difference?
For those of you who have a special admiration for one of these two presidents I understand, I had my favorite to. Although the fairytale ended when I became open enough to let down my defenses and look at the facts. Facts that have been staring me in the face all the time. I know this is a touchy subject for many, but try to put your emotions aside. I’ll present my information in a non-partisan manner. Remember I no longer favor either party; for good reason as you will see as the facts unfold.
Lets start from the beginning of both of their candidacies’ Bush promised smaller government, but he increased the federal budget by a record 800 billion dollars which of course President Obama inherited. Candidate Obama also promised to decrease federal spending but as of 2/2010 has increased federal spending by 1.4 trillion dollars. (The Hill 9/12/2011) No blame no excuses they both have failed miserably. Instead of giving trillions of dollars to the same institutions that have created the debt crisis the United… READ MORE. By T.S. Anderson The main stream media and the conservative talk show host finally have something they agree on – that is their, mutual discomfort for Ron Paul. CNN (a leader in cable media news) demonstrated this in the January I9th debates when the host John King, attempted to exclude Dr. Paul from interacting in portions of discussions until the audience made it clear by their boos that they wanted to hear from the Congressmen. Conservative radio personalities like Rush, Hannity and others from the conservative perspective tend to diminish his ideas particularly when it comes to national defense. By NoMoreFairytales.net – Goldman Sachs the investment banking institution that cashed in on the country’s housing meltdown by betting against home loan securities and duping its own investors is keeping Mitt close. A review of Mitt Romney’s personal financial disclosure records shows that a chunk of Romney’s wealth—he’s worth an estimated $190 million to $250 million—comes from investments in an array of Wall Street banks and investment houses, and none more so than Goldman.
Romney’s ties to Wall Street should be subjected to intense scrutiny by voters but the connection doesn’t seem to be sinking in. Romney’s relationship with Goldman dates back at least to 1999, when he purchased 7,000 shares of Goldman’s initial public offering. The release of those shares was tightly held, and were largely unavailable to ordinary investors. No other candidates’ personal financial disclosures list any investments in Goldman-run funds. “I think that the responsibility that the Democrats had may rest more in resisting any efforts byRepublicans in the Congress, or by me when I was President, to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.” – Former President Bill Clinton (D-AR), September 25, 2008.
“Like a lot of my Democratic colleagues I was too slow to appreciate the recklessness of Fannie and Freddie. I defended their efforts to encourage affordable homeownership when in retrospect I should have heeded the concerns raised by their regulator in 2004. Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit when it comes to Fannie and Freddie, we were wrong.”– Congressman Artur Davis (D-AL), September 30, 2008)
In order to get out from underneath these bad loans that Fannie and Freddie sanctioned Goldman Sachs and others repackaged the debt and sold them as legitimate investments, better known as toxic assets. (Real Estate ABC.com Goldman Sachs Scoundrel or Scapegoat? – Both.)
As a result of the housing down turn and the toxic assets fiasco the government has spent billions in bailing out many of the same companies involved in the scam. Revamping of the system is sorely needed. The question is...Newspaper Download Read More. (Page 4 Article)
